Cursor 1.0, released on June 4, 2025, introduces several significant features and improvements. Bugbot provides automatic code review, identifying potential bugs and issues in Pull Requests (PRs) on GitHub and leaving comments. Users can click "Fix in Cursor" to return to the editor with a pre-filled prompt to address the detected issue, requiring setup via Bugbot documentation. The Background Agent, a remote coding agent previously in early access, is now generally available to all users. It can be activated via a cloud icon in chat or by pressing Cmd/Ctrl+E, with future support planned for users with privacy mode enabled. Cursor now supports Jupyter Notebooks, enabling the Agent to create and edit multiple cells directly within notebooks, enhancing research and data science workflows; this feature is initially exclusive to Sonnet models. Memories, a beta feature, allow Cursor to retain facts from past conversations and reference them in future interactions. These memories are stored on a per-project basis, are individual-level, and can be managed from the Settings, requiring activation from Settings → Rules. The setup for MCP (Multi-Cloud Provisioning) servers is streamlined with one-click installation and OAuth support for authentication, facilitating easy integration with compatible servers. A curated list of official MCP servers is available, and developers can generate deep links to enable "Add to Cursor" buttons in their documentation. Chat responses are enhanced with richer rendering capabilities, including support for Mermaid diagrams and Markdown tables directly within conversations. The Settings and Dashboard pages have received a user interface polish. The new Dashboard offers usage analytics for individuals and teams, allows display name updates, and provides detailed statistics broken down by tool or model. Additional updates encompass categories such as Keyboard shortcuts, general Improvements, Account management, Model functionalities, and Patches.
