Dify's billing system is workspace-scoped, determining team member limits, feature availability, and usage quotas for the entire workspace.
Three subscription plans are offered:
- Free: Limited to 1 team member, provides basic features, and includes community support. Resource caps are 5 applications and 5,000 API calls per day.
- Professional: Supports up to 3 team members, offers advanced features, and provides priority email support. It allows for 50 applications and unlimited API calls.
- Team: Accommodates up to 50 team members, grants access to the full feature set, and includes dedicated support via email and Slack. This plan permits 200 applications and unlimited API calls.
Subscription management is exclusively accessible to workspace owners and admins via Settings โ Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated for the current billing period. Downgrades also take effect immediately, with billing adjustments applied on the subsequent invoice; notably, team members exceeding the new plan's limits will instantly lose workspace access upon downgrade. Cancellations remain active until the end of the current billing cycle, at which point the workspace reverts to the Free plan.
Dify provides a "Dify for Education" program, offering the Professional plan for free to eligible current students and teachers. Prerequisites include being 18 years or older, currently enrolled or employed as educational staff, and possessing a valid educational email address ending in .edu. The application process involves:
- Registering an account on
cloud.dify.aiusing the educational email. - Applying for verification through
Settings โ Billing โ Get Education Verified, specifying the school's full name and role. - Upon approval, upgrading to the Professional plan with annual billing, where an education coupon is automatically applied, making it free. The subscription status will display as "Pro(Edu)", and annual renewal is required.
The Education FAQ clarifies that the education coupon cannot be applied to existing paid subscriptions, suggesting activation after the current billing cycle concludes. Verification rejections commonly result from non-educational emails, fraudulent information, or misuse of privileges, with appeals directed to [email protected]. Personal emails are not accepted for verification; an institutional email is mandatory.
