The 2025 Generative AI-utilizing Tourism Prompthon is a competition combining "Prompt" (commands for Generative AI) and "Marathon," inviting individuals to develop tourism services using Generative AI. It is designed for anyone interested in data and AI, residing in Korea, allowing team sizes from 1 to 4 members.

The core methodology mandates the development of tourism services that integrate the Korea Tourism Organization's OpenAPI (TourAPI) with Generative AI. Crucially, participants must utilize a specific Generative AI development tool provided for the event, namely Wanted's LaaS (Low-code as a Service) platform. This platform offers a non-developer-friendly environment, providing access to over 32 types of Large Language Models (LLMs), including chatGPT, for free during the competition period. The judging process specifically evaluates services that adhere to this mandatory tool utilization.

The competition unfolds through a structured timeline:

1. Participation Application: May 13 (Tue) to June 4 (Wed), 2024.
2. Prompthon Orientation (OT): June 10 (Tue), 2024, conducted online via Zoom. This session provides essential guidance on the LaaS platform and TourAPI usage, with a VOD recording expected.
3. Service Development Period: June 11 (Wed) to June 27 (Fri), 2024, during which teams develop their services based on their ideas.
4. Preliminary Judging: July 3 (Thu) to July 4 (Fri), 2024. This stage involves a functionality review of developed services, selecting 12 teams (3x the final selection size).
5. Preliminary Results Announcement: July 11 (Fri), 2024 (tentative).
6. Final Round Orientation: July 16 (Wed), 2024, an online Zoom session for the 12 selected teams.
7. Final Round & Awards Ceremony: July 26 (Sat), 2024, held offline at Wanted Lab HQ on the 35th floor of Lotte Tower. This stage involves presentation-based judging (PT 심사) to select the final winners.

The event features a total prize pool of KRW 4,000,000, distributed among 4 winning teams, each receiving KRW 1,000,000 and the Korea Tourism Organization President's Award. Award categories include Service Planning Excellence, Service Implementation Excellence, Service Vision Excellence, and Overall Service Excellence. The participation process involves three steps:
